Business Readiness Requirements

Requirements to consider before going live with Fast Payments

If you are integrating with Fast Payments via API, there are some requirements to consider early in order to facilitate and speed up implementation.

Maximum transaction value limit
Direct Entry re-route opt-in for failed payments

Maximum transaction value limit

It is possible to configure the maximum transaction value limit to any dollar value (default value available in the Integration Centre for signed customers). If you’d like to set a custom amount, let us know at the start of the implementation journey so we can enable it in the back-end.

Automatic Direct Entry re-route opt-in for failed payments

Payments sent via the Fast Payments API settle within seconds in most cases. However, some payments can fail if the recipient account is unreachable on the NPP.

Customers can opt in to automatically re-route failed NPP payments via Direct Entry, where settlement may take up to 3 business days.

If opted out, payment instructions will be rejected upfront if the beneficiary account is not reachable on the NPP.

Please inform us at the start of your implementation if you wish to opt in or out.
