What is Priority Payments

Priority Payment is a same-day, high-value domestic payment in Australian dollars, settled through Australia's real-time gross settlement (RTGS) system. The beneficiary bank must be an RTGS member bank to be reachable and is identified by a 6-digit BSB. The payment is a single debit and single credit in AUD. As a domestic AUD payment, it does not use a payment currency, dealer rate, or intermediary/beneficiary-bank SWIFT details.
